Philippine Airlines's upcoming new jets clearly show the airline's commitment to be a 5-star carrier by 2020. Recently, Ryan Uy posted photos of the business class of PAL's A350-900, and business and economy sections of their A321NEO, and all we can say is that it is definitely a thing of beauty!
During the 50s to the early 80s, PAL was on top of it's game. They were the first airline to introduce the "skybeds" and these were literally beds where you can doze off during long haul flights. They also boasted the best fleet in Asia with the widest network of destinations.
After years of facing turbulent times, PAL is back to regain that crown by not only aiming to be a 5-star carrier, but to be also ranked as the World's Best Airline! All these started in 2016 when PAL President Jaime Bautista announced it's plans to be a full premium carrier that competes against other Asian airlines like Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, ANA, and Asiana. Just last February, Philippine Airlines got that star and was ranked as a 4-star airline by Skytrax!
Now, they are focusing on getting that next star and the interiors of their new aircraft will show you how serious they are!

With all that, we are very proud of Philippine Airlines as it carries our colors, our flag, with the name "Philippines", around the world, the same way as how boxing legend Manny Pacquiao carried the country and his countrymen on his shoulders in every fight.
We have a Manny Pacquiao, and we also have a Philippine Airlines! Mabuhay!
