An Air Niugini Boeing 737-800 overshoots the runway in Micronesia and ends up in the ocean. Flight PX073 was coming in from Pohnpei in Micronesia and was scheduled to continue its journey through to Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. All 36 passengers and crew members are safe. Just yesterday, the country's biggest recruitment agency for international airlines, IPAMS or Industrial Personnel and Management Services Inc. announced a cabin crew and cabin services assistant open recruitment day for Emirates and SaudiGulf Airlines. Based on their Facebook page, this is scheduled to be held on September 15 at the IPAMS office along Aurora Blvd., Quezon City.
A woman with down syndrome finally saw her dream turn into a reality as she became a flight attendant for a day aboard a Southwest Airlines flight. Tracy Sharp, from Sacramento CA, wore her uniform and wings for a day as she greeted and helped other flight attendants serve passengers.
