Seventy three years ago today (July 31, 2019), Philippine Airlines took its very first transpacific flight. The flight flew from Manila to Oakland with stopovers at Guam, Johnston Atoll, and Honolulu, before landing at Oakland, California. On board the 41-hour flight were 40 US servicemen who were homesick. Taking care of them and ensuring their comfort was PAL's very first flight attendant, Ms. Rebecca Verzosa-Santos.
Etihad is now hiring cabin crew from all over the world, hence, if you want to be their flight attendant wearing their such stylish uniform, here is now your chance. For this, you will have first to apply online and then applicants are scheduled for an assessment. We are not sure if Etihad will be headed to Manila, but if you are to fly from Manila to somewhere for the assessment, then you will have to shoulder your travel expenses.
