A video reuploaded by a certain page went viral after showing an actual cabin crew door training. It drew a lot of negative comments from people who has completely no idea about cabin crew training nor about safety drills. As far as we know, raw footage of training videos are not supposed to be uploaded in public pages for security reasons unless supervised by the airline but anyway, we are here to answer why flight attendants raising their voices during emergency situations is NOT overacting, but a standard practice among all airlines.
Flight attendants are not shouting, they are simply simulating a situation where a crash landing occurs and there is panic inside the aircraft. An emergency situation can cause panic, same way as how people scream or shout during an earthquake, a boat sinking, or a land vehicle crashing down a hill. If a normal situation like heavy turbulence can cause panic, what more of fire on board or a crash landing?
During such situations, the cabin crew's commands have to be heard all over the cabin during an immediate emergency evacuation. It has to be heard given the panic and screams of the people. So here are the reasons why flight attendants are MANDATED by the airlines to raise their voice in giving commands during emergencies:
A cabin crew does not really "shout" during an emergency evacuation, but they raise their voice up while also making sure it is modulated so people can properly hear them. It has to be loud and clear.
Based on the actual footage of the training video, flight attendants where simulating a situation where the aircraft made an emergency crash landing and an immediate evacuation was called, reason why the cabin crew where giving the commands in raised voices. This is practiced not only by the airline in the video but by ALL airlines worldwide as it is a global safety standard.
So to all who said that the flight attendants are overacting, they are NOT! They are following a global aviation safety procedure. This is normal.
Please learn to educate yourselves first before making comments.
Last but not least, if you are not happy with flight attendants raising their voices during emergencies, you are free to find other means of transportation like perhaps, a teleport machine.
