Many dream of becoming cabin crew, in fact, applicants during cabin crew recruitment days reacha thousand or so. They have various reasons. Some want to be a flight attendant because it is the ‘in’ thing nowadays, some want to travel the world, some are after the salary, and there are some who are there for the job itself. These aspirants all have various reasons so to speak.
What does it really take to be a flight attendant? What do those people who aspire to be flight attendants have to go through? What do they need to have? Are there are special skills needed? Is the job as a cabin crew fit only for a special selected number of people? Aside from the minimum height, age, waistline and so on requirements, what else are needed?
Here are what it takes and what one needs to go through to be a cabin crew member. This is not to scare those aspiring to be flight attendants, but this is to prepare you for what lies ahead. This blog post is also written to answer those who think that flight attendants are “glorified servers of the air”, and why we do think that the cabin crew are actually the “unsung heroes of the skies”
