The other day, I interviewed both Tanchellie Lobete and Sarah Garcia otherwise known as Team Tarah. After posting the video of their interview yesterday, our social media account was flooded with comments and excitement from their fans, followers, and aspiring cabin crew. I was honestly overwhelmed and amazed by the support this vlogger super-duo got. As for me, I learned a lot from them which I want to share with you.
Noteable to me was their tagline, "Always be better together, and do everything with love." What a tagline indeed, and very catchy too. More than that though is a deeper lesson all of you cabin crew aspirants should learn and should imbibe in your hearts, and that is for all of you to help each other to always be a better version of yourself in order for you to achieve your cabin crew dream. "Do everything with love" also means "do what you love with passion", and this includes working hard to turn your cabin crew dream into a reality.
As you see, becoming a cabin crew is like a snakes and ladder board game. As you move forward, you may suddenly rise up, or you may be thrown down. Rejections, remarks like "improve the way you talk" or "you need to fix your teeth", all these may throw you backward but you are still in the game, right? So keep moving forward and for you to keep that flame in you burning, you need that passion to always learn and improve.
Both Tanchellie and Sarah's lives are not smooth sailing all the way. Just like you, they too face hurdles and challenges. Because they do everything with love or they put passion in what they do, hurdles become a stepping stone up instead of a stumbling block.
Let me now focus on "being better together." As you see, both Tanchellie and Sarah loves to entertain you through their vlogs but more than that, they are actually helping and inspiring you towards your dreams, particularly to be a cabin crew, and this s a very important lesson for you aspirants.
You all want to be a flight attendant or steward one day, but getting their is not easy. It needs constant improvement, hard work, a lot of prayers, and a burning desire to be one. Doing it alone may be harder, but if you have people and fellow aspirants helping and inspiring you, your journey towards your dream may be faster and somehow easier than doing it alone. As aspirants, support each other. Advise and encourage each other to attain your cabin crew dreams, the same way as how we cheer and help you out. "Be better together" means, you are all united in helping one another be a better version of yourselves, not only to fulfill a childhood dream to be a cabin crew, but to also get ahead in life. You monitor each other. You listen to advise and you too advise others. You learn from failures and you share your experience to others so you can help them. Instead of discouraging with negativity, you encourage each other.
Instead of saying "kaya ko ito", you say "kaya natin ito". Instead of saying "I will soon be a cabin crew", say "we will all soon be a cabin crew." Yes I am aware that becoming a flight attendant is not for all, so think about being part of those who are meant for it instead of thinking of the ratio.
I think this is the most important lesson you should all learn from Team Tarah. Their tagline "lets be better together" may be simple, but is heavy in meaning and lesson, which I think as fans of their, you should imbibe in your hearts too.
The more you help each other becoming a better version of yourselves, the greater your chance of improving (for as long as you take advice constructively), and the higher the chance of you becoming a cabin crew. Don't forget to put love and passion in what you do.
Be better all together, and hopefully one day, you all will say your "flying with you" to one another.
