It was a day everyone waited for. Philippine Airlines finally received its first of six ultra-long haul Airbus A350-941 jets just today. RP-C3501 landed in Manila at approximately around 3pm. This aircraft has a three-class configuration, business class, premium economy, and economy class. PAL fly this aircraft to Europe and to parts in North America, particularly the East Coast.
Philippine Airlines ordered six of this ultra-modern aircraft last February 2016 during the Singapore Air Show, with an option of six more. Another three will be delivered within the year, then two will be delivered in 2019.
The PAL A350 has 30 Thompson Vatage XL full-flat business class seats, similar to that of their A 330 fleet on a 1-2-1 configuration. Premium economy section has 24 seats with a 2-4-2 configuration, and 241 economy class seats with a 3-3-3 configuration. The aircraft is equiped with individual seatback IFEs in all classes, inflight internet, and mood lighting.
