Wow Air, a budget airline based in Iceland, has ceased operations after failing to secure emergency funds caused by its financial woes. This left 4,000 passengers stranded. Wow Air is the latest airline to run into financial difficulties. The airline operated services between Iceland, Europe, Asia, and North America.

Ethiopian Airlines pilots and flight attendants held a vigil last Monday honoring their fallen colleagues who were aboard flight 302 enroute from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Nairobi in Kenya. The Boeing 737 Max 8 was carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members when the aircraft crashed shortly after take-off. There were no survivors. This is the second deadly crash involving the 737 Max 8 months after Lionair 610.
