During the early years, air passengers were conscious about their outfits for a Trans-Atlantic flight. For them, it has to be somehow comfortable but yet, very elegant, as air travel during the early years was limited only to the "rick" and "famous". Despite this, flight attendants had to endure different flights in the same uniform, crossing the Atlantic in a uniform which would seem more comfortable for a shorter flight. The cabin crew uniform was a trending topic during the 1940s, especially when air travel became popular.
You are at an airport, waiting for your boarding call, then suddenly, a group of cabin crew, all dressed, walking in a synchronized fashion, walks by. Everyone's head turns, with their eyes glued on the flight attendants as they walk in style to the aircraft. If they were dressed like any normal person, even on a formal get-up, you would not give them a second look, but with their uniforms on, you can't simply help but stare. Aside from there good looks, it's their uniforms!
Cliff Muskiet is a collector of flight attendant uniforms, and he has a total collection of 1,441 flight attendant uniforms from 532 different airlines, both present and defunct. Coming from the Netherlands, Cliff is also a flight purser for KLM. With his vast collection of uniforms, he can easily set-up a museum! It is also nice to know that he has a collection of past uniforms from Philippine based carriers like Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, AirPhil Express, Air Philippines, and Asian Spirit! Well hopefully in the future, he would be able to obtain cabin crew uniforms from Grand Air, Zest Air, SEA Air, Skyjet, and some from our classic airlines.
