After long flying hours of breathing dry air and working with hundreds of passengers per leg, a flight attendant's job is indeed a tiring one, especially if they might have encountered an uncommon situation on board. It would be nice for an airline office to always welcome back their cabin crew after their flights and perhaps, one way is to have a pet dog or cat ready to welcome and bid farewell to the flight attendants. We hope airlines may consider this.
During the past weeks and months, different flight attendants have been making the news for going the "extra mile" to serve and help the passengers. Just recently, a Philippine Airlines flight attendant named Gold Pareno became viral after she and another flight attendant named Danica Panganiban assisted a passenger give birth on board a flight from Dammam to Manila.
When Flight Attendants Get 'Schooled' by People Who Have Minimal Knowledge about the Airline and Aviation Industry
Have you ever been 'lectured' about driving by someone who does not know how to drive? Or maybe having a basketball coach who never even plays basketball? Or maybe being 'schooled' by someone about sales who never even closed a single sale by his own in his entire life? Well flight attendants experience similar incidents a lot of times, when people who have minimal knowledge or even never worked as a flight attendant or in the commercial aviation industry, sort of 'lectures' the cabin crew about their duties and responsibilities.
So you were notified about a cabin crew opening or a flight attendant recruitment event of some airline. Definitely this is your chance to make your cabin crew dream come true but before we go for that dream, let us first remember that this job is not for everyone, only a chosen few will make it in. So here are some reminders for you to remember or to follow that may help you in the application process.

An iceberg in the middle of an ocean may just look like a piece of ice. It is small and its size above the water is nothing compared to the size of a whole ship. Guess what, despite their size, ships do everything to get far from the floating piece of ice which is not even bigger than half of the ship. because in 1912, that small piece of ice brought down a whole ship, the RMS Titanic.
We usually give advice on how to turn your cabin crew dream into a reality. Now let us turn the tables, let us talk about how NOT to become a flight attendant and how to keep that dream merely just a pipe dream. If we are to take this article constructively and in a positive light, we will learn that change is inevitable and that we really do have to embrace it.
It is now 2019, the start of another year. For many of our cabin crew aspirants, most are claiming already that it will be a year when they will earn their wings. For some who have gone through rejections in the past, it is a year to give things another try. To turn these claims and resolutions to finally become a cabin crew, you need to take action and you have to be hungry to earn those wings.
Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to our very first post of 2019! Flight attendants are usually ready to spend Christmas or New Year in the sky. They are lucky if they get to spend it at home from the very first day they even applied, they were made aware that there is a huge chance that they may not be able to spend their holidays with their own families.
